Mirandés

Mirandés is a dialect of the Asturleonese language, primarily spoken in the Miranda do Douro region of northeastern Portugal. It is recognized as a minority language and is part of the cultural heritage of the local community. Mirandés has its own distinct phonetic, lexical, and grammatical features that differentiate it from standard Portuguese. The language is considered an important aspect of regional identity, and there have been efforts to promote and preserve it through education and cultural initiatives.
