Boxing

Boxing is a combat sport in which two participants, typically wearing gloves and protective gear, engage in a contest of strength, speed, reflexes, and strategy by throwing punches at each other. The objective is to outscore the opponent by successfully landing punches while avoiding being hit. Boxing matches take place in a squared boxing ring and are divided into rounds, with a winner determined by points (judges’ scorecards), knockout (KO), or technical knockout (TKO) if one participant is unable to continue. The sport has various weight classes to ensure fair competition between fighters of similar body mass. Boxing is governed by a set of rules that regulate aspects such as conduct, scoring, and permissible strikes, making it a tactical sport that requires both physical and mental skill.
